I’m so glad you are reading this! My name is Jamie, I am the owner of Modern Stitch Co and I could not be happier. While my first career is nursing and I worked in the operating room for many years, I have decided to put that career on hold to pursue another passion--beautiful fabric! 

Modern Stitch Co, Saskatchewan’s newest quilt shop, located in the hub of Yorkton, is modern with a touch of vintage. It all came about because a few years ago, I decided to make my daughter a quilt for her seventh birthday. Since then, I have made many quilts and my hobby has grown into a dream come true. I love quilts! Modern, traditional, pieced, you name it, I love them all! Modern Stitch Co is fueled by my love of beautiful fabrics. Pairing different fabrics together and making curated bundles is what I love to do. If you stress over matching fabrics, no need to worry, I will do the work for you. Modern Stitch Co provides the quilting community with more variety and something different than what is already offered in our area and my main goal is to be able to provide high quality, modern fabrics at reasonable prices. Modern Stitch Co not only offers fantastic fabrics, with an inventory that is continuously growing, it also offers notions and classes. There is a large classroom space within the store and a variety of classes will begin this fall. Modern Stitch Co offers a membership plan, that, among other benefits, offers free use of the classroom for groups, guilds, or anyone who wants to come and sew with me.
